This latest release gives firms more control over how they apply funds, review bank transactions, and collect payments.

More control over the funds used to pay invoices

When paying an invoice using a retainer or credit, you can now choose which bank accounts to draw funds from. The Credits to Use section displays each account’s available balance separately, giving firms with multiple trust or operating accounts greater visibility and control.

  • Balances organized by matter and contact. Matter-level balances appear first, followed by contact-level balances, with operating, trust, and credit note balances listed within each group.

  • Choose which accounts to use. All accounts with available funds default to Yes. Switch an account to No to exclude it from the payment.

Accept eCheck payments on behalf of your clients

Firms connected to PantherPayments can now collect eCheck payments on behalf of clients who are in the office or on the phone, without sending an invoice or payment request.

  • Add details with or without a payment. Select eCheck (Enter account & routing numbers) when paying an invoice, recording a retainer payment, or adding a payment method without processing a payment.

  • Save bank accounts for future use. Enter and save the client’s bank account details so your firm can use the account for future payments.

  • Payment notifications continue as usual. Both the firm and the client receive notification emails when a payment is processed.

This gives your firm more flexibility to help clients set up their preferred payment method.

Quickly find bank transactions by vendor

PantherAccounting Plus firms can now find transactions from a specific vendor or merchant using the new Search Vendors bar on the Review Bank Transactions page. Enter search criteria to narrow the list to matching vendors, then use Select All to batch create expenses for those transactions.

  • Combine search with your filters. Search works alongside your date range and amount filters while preserving your selected sort order.

  • Keep your search in place. Your search remains when you refresh the page or switch bank accounts.

Spend less time finding transactions and create expenses more efficiently.
