Exporting Improvements

Everyone works a little differently, and we want PracticePanther to fit your preferred style. It’s now even easier to export custom information to Excel or PDF. Now, you can export custom fields of your choosing from the Contacts page, allowing you to create reports that work specifically for you. Follow the steps here to learn how this is done.

Additionally, we’ve made it easier for you to export Matter Custom Fields as well. Follow these steps to have your custom fields export within 60 seconds.

Batch Download LEDES Invoices

Whether you need to download two or two hundred LEDES files, it’s now easier than ever within PracticePanther. Just navigate to your invoices page and follow these steps and you’ll be downloading your batch invoices in no time.

CheckBox Custom Field

Have you ever wanted to populate the CheckBox custom field via the import tool? Now you can name the column and populate the field with either “Yes” or “No” in order to have the CheckBox field populated during an import.

Tweaked UTBMS Time Code Import and Added Categories

Now users have the ability to create UTBMS time codes and categories via the import so they no longer have to create them first in PracticePanther in order to utilize them. This can be applied to both Time Entries and Expenses. To populate this field, type in the name of the item or category and separate them using a “|”.

Added the Ability to have Multiple Assignees for Activity Imports

Users now have the ability to assign multiple users to activity imports (Notes, Events, Tasks) via the import. In order to assign more than one user to an activity, add each email address and separate them via a comma.

Added the Ability to Populate Contact Type Custom Fields

Via the import, users now have the ability to populate contact type custom fields. This will allow users to link existing contacts to other contacts. In order to do so, enter the contact’s number you wish to link into the custom field. Keep in mind, all contacts must have a unique contact number in order for this to function properly.

Launched PantherPayments

Stress-free payments are now available within PracticePanther with our first all-in-one payments system, PantherPayments. Now you can maximize your payment efficiency and supercharge your firm’s revenue all within PracticePanther. To get set up, you can read through our start to finish tutorial covering everything you need to get up and running in PantherPayments.

Payment Details Improvements

For added transparency into your transactions, we’ve included new tool tips that will provide information on why a transaction has failed. Simply by hovering over the red failed status, the reason for the failure will appear along with next steps that you can take to remedy the failure.

Changes to Payment Plan History

We’ve added more options to our payment plan history status bar, providing you a clearer view of the funds that are scheduled, pending, and successfully delivered.

The default status for all payments that have not occurred in a payment plan is now listed as “scheduled.” Once payment begins to process the status becomes “pending,” and finally a status of “success” will show once a full payment is complete.

Importing Improvements

Items in PracticePanther can now be assigned and created to time entries via the import process. Now you will also be able to add specific Categories to your time entries.

Email Notification Improvements

From start to finish, you now have insights into the lifecycle of an individual payment with our updated email notifications. It’s important for you to have a clear picture of each stage of your transaction, and these notifications let you see precisely when each process has been completed.

These automatic notifications provide more transparency across the entire payments process and will send directly to your email address.

Importing Improvements

Have multiple stakeholders that need to be kept in the loop? Now you can have imports with multiple “Assigned To” users for both Contacts and Matters. You can also now keep the global “Assigned To” value on the import page. If you need to, you can even set up your imports so that multiple “Assigned To” users can be added to the global “Assigned To” value. This streamlines your workflow and reduces notification steps when multiple parties are involved. In order to have multiple assignees via the import, separate the email address of each user with a comma without a space in between each user’s email address.

Another way you can now increase your communication workflow is by adding tags to an Activity import (Notes, Events, and Tasks) the same way you do for Contacts and Matters. Multiple tags are also supported. In order to have multiple tags, separate each tag with a comma.

Conditional Tasks & Workflows

Conditional workflows keep track of what’s coming next so you don’t have to. Tasks won’t appear on the agenda until they’re relevant or doable, which happens only when the previous task completes. Your agenda will only show what’s actionable now.

Conditional Tasks are dependent on each other, and can be chained together on the fly.

Use Conditional Workflows to pre-plan your Conditional Tasks — and normal tasks too! Once you're done building your workflow, save it to apply it to a Contact or Matter.

Learn how to declutter your agenda with conditional workflows. You'll never have to guess a due date again!

Track deletion and restoration in the activity feed of any item.

PracticePanther now adds notes to the activity history of deleted items and items that have been restored from the recycle bin.

No matter which page you're on, the global search bar will always stand out. The color of the global search bar matches the color of your top header bar.

Sync Check Numbers to QuickBooks
