Please note that this security feature is available on all of our PracticePanther subscription plans! To find out more, simply click here.

Two-factor authentication (a.k.a 2FA) is a method of confirming a user's claimed identity by utilizing a combination of two different factors:

1) Something they know.
2) Something they have.
3) Something they are.

The most common factors used are 1 and 2.

Essentially, 2FA is an added security measure to help ensure your log in information on different sites are not compromised.

To set up two-factor authentication on PracticePanther, follow these steps:

1) Go to your settings.

2) Go to "Security & Password" and "Turn On" 2 factor authentication.

What happens now?

Now everytime we log into PracticePanther from an different browser or device (not already used), it will ask you for the code!

Lets see an example!

1) Log into PracticePanther on a new device or browser.

2) PracticePanther will now prompt you to enter a security code.
This code will be found in our email that we use to log in to PracticePanther.

3) Go to your Inbox and you will find the email that PracticePanther has set with the new 2FA code.

Now you once you enter the code, you will be logged into PracticePanther!
This feature is great for ensuring that only those with access to the email and the 2FA code can log in!

Enjoy!
