There may be a case when you are working with a single client with multiple matters, and then receive a payment from said client. In PracticePanther, you can add a payment to the contact and have it available for all matters associated with the contact.
To add a payment to a contact with multiple matters, follow the steps below:
1) Click "New" and then click "Payment".
2) Select the desired contact and then click "Next".
3) Click "Add a Retainer" and then click "Add a Payment".
4) Fill in the details, and then click "Add Retainer".
What happens now?
You now have a single payment that can be used to your liking on any matter associated with that contact.
